Difficulty with the simplicity

"....I guess I also re-learned that there are other really important things in life worth progressing in parallel. In fact, when it needs to happen, there is little you can do to stop it; and when it needs to stop, there is little you can do to make anything happen. What makes life complicated is the difficulty we have in accepting such simplicity. We have too much desire for those that don't belong to us or that we don't have. I guess it doesn't matter who we are, we can't have everything. We can only take what's given, as we go. Everything is much more easily said than done...."
